but they leave just as quickly.

one unnecessary word
is all it takes to lose everything.

So the next time you feel the urge to speak…
pause.

Because silence…
might just save you.

Watch till the end… and ask yourself:
Was it really worth it?

Once upon a time, in a quiet forest, there lived a talkative tortoise.

He loved to speak.

He spoke in the morning,
he spoke in the afternoon,
and he spoke even when no one was listening.

The other animals often smiled politely…

but deep down, they wished he would be silent for just a little while.

 

One summer, a terrible drought came.

The rivers began to dry.
The ponds turned into cracked earth.
The trees stood still under the burning sun.

The tortoise’s home—a small lake—slowly disappeared.

Day by day, the water level dropped…
until finally, only mud remained.

The tortoise was frightened.

“If I stay here,” he thought,
“I will surely die.”

 

One day, two cranes flew down from the sky.

They landed near the dry lake and looked around.

The tortoise rushed toward them.

“Friends!” he called out.
“Please help me. I cannot survive here anymore.”

The cranes looked at each other.

One of them said,
“We are flying to a faraway lake where there is still plenty of water.”

The tortoise’s eyes lit up.

“Take me with you!” he begged.

The cranes hesitated.

“You cannot fly,” they said gently.

 

The tortoise thought for a moment.

Then suddenly, he had an idea.

“Wait!” he said excitedly.
“I have a plan.”

He found a strong stick and placed it on the ground.

“You both hold the ends of this stick in your beaks,” he explained.

“I will bite the middle and hold on tightly.
That way, you can carry me through the sky.”

The cranes considered the idea.

It seemed risky…
but it might work.

 

“There is only one condition,” said one crane seriously.

“You must not open your mouth. Not even once.”

“If you speak… you will fall.”

The tortoise nodded confidently.

“Don’t worry,” he said.
“I can stay quiet.”

The cranes were not fully convinced…

but they agreed.

 

Soon, they lifted the stick and rose into the sky.

The tortoise hung in the middle, gripping tightly.

For the first time in his life…
he was flying.

The wind rushed past him.
The earth looked small below.

He felt proud.

Very proud.

 

As they flew over a village, people looked up in amazement.

“Look!” someone shouted.
“A tortoise flying in the sky!”

Another laughed.

“What a strange sight!”

Children ran along the road, pointing and laughing.

The tortoise heard them.

At first, he stayed silent.

But inside, something stirred.

Pride.

Ego.

The need to respond.

 

“They are talking about me,” he thought.
“They should know how clever I am.”

The voices below grew louder.

“Who could have thought of such an idea?” someone shouted.

The tortoise couldn’t control himself anymore.

He forgot everything.

He forgot the warning.

He forgot the danger.

He opened his mouth to speak.

“It was ME—”

Before he could finish the sentence…

his grip loosened.

In an instant, he fell.

Down…
down…
down…

 

And the sky grew silent again.

 

Moral of the Story:

Sometimes, silence is not weakness…
it is wisdom.

The tortoise did not fall because he was weak.

He fell because he could not control his words.

In life, many opportunities come to us…

But a single careless moment—
a single unnecessary word—
can destroy everything.

 Those who know when to speak are wise. But those who know when to remain silent… are truly wise.
